What Is Agile Personal Coaching?

Agile Personal Coaching applies Agile principles such as reflection, iteration, and continuous improvement to personal and professional development.

Instead of relying on rigid long-term plans, this coaching approach focuses on taking purposeful steps, learning from experience, and adapting along the way.

Participants begin by identifying quarterly goals, similar to Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), that provide direction and clarity for the next ninety days. These goals help establish meaningful outcomes while maintaining flexibility as priorities evolve.

Work toward these outcomes is organized into short cycles of three to four weeks, similar to Agile sprints. Each cycle includes specific sprint goals designed to move participants closer to their larger quarterly objectives.

A key part of the process is accountability and measurable progress. Coaching conversations are not simply open-ended discussions focused on general feelings or abstract ideas. Instead, they focus on meaningful progress toward clearly defined goals.

Rather than beginning sessions with questions such as “What would you like to talk about today?”, Agile Personal Coaching centers conversations around progress and results.

Typical coaching discussions explore questions such as:

• How are your goals progressing?
• What have you completed since the last cycle?
• What are your next priorities?
• Are there any obstacles blocking progress toward your sprint or quarterly goals?

These regular reviews function much like Agile sprint reviews, helping participants evaluate progress, remove obstacles, and adjust their plans as they move forward.

How Agile Coaching Works

Agile Personal Coaching follows a structured rhythm designed to help participants make steady, measurable progress toward meaningful goals.

Rather than relying on long-term plans that rarely change, the coaching process focuses on short cycles of planning, action, reflection, and improvement.

1. Define Quarterly Goals

Participants begin by identifying 90-day goals, similar to Objectives and Key Results (OKRs). These goals create a clear direction and help define what success looks like over the next quarter.

2. Break Goals Into Sprint Cycles

The quarter is divided into three- to four-week cycles, similar to Agile sprints. Each cycle includes specific sprint goals that move participants closer to their quarterly objectives.

3. Review Progress and Remove Obstacles

During coaching sessions, participants review what has been accomplished, what they learned, and what may be blocking progress.

At the end of each cycle, participants refine their goals, update their plans, and begin the next sprint cycle with greater clarity.

Some individuals prefer the Career Mastermind Group, where they can learn alongside peers, share experiences, and benefit from collective insight. One-on-One Agile Personal Coaching

Participants meet in a weekly 30-minute one-on-one coaching session with Greg. These conversations focus on reviewing progress, addressing obstacles, and identifying the next steps toward achieving sprint and quarterly goals.

This option is ideal for professionals who want personalized guidance, focused coaching conversations, and individual accountability.


Flexible Coaching Options

Participants who begin in the Career Mastermind Group may later choose to upgrade to One-on-One Coaching if they would benefit from additional personalized support.
